APAEP Alabama Prison Arts + Education Project

Art on the Inside

Art on the Inside is a traveling exhibit of work produced by students that have taken our pre-college art classes. Made up of drawings and photographs, and occasionally poems, Art on the Inside is available for public exhibitions. Along with the travelling exhibit, much of the artwork collected over the years from the APAEP students is currently for sale at our online gallery. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of student art goes to fund more classes.

For information on hosting Art on the Inside, please contact us at apaepau@auburn.edu

Art on the Inside has shown at the Joan Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art in Auburn, AL; the Alabama State Council on the Arts in Montgomery, AL; the Gulf ArtSpace Gallery in Fairhope, AL, Space One Eleven in Birmingham, AL; Salt Space NYC and New York State University in New York, and St. Louis University in Missouri, among other places.
